HOME Program
HOME Program
What is the HOME Program?
The HOME Program is a federally funded affordable housing program that helps make housing more accessible for income-qualified households. At Cottage Lane Village, 11 of our 40 apartment homes are designated as HOME Program units and are offered at reduced rental rates. Households interested in these apartments must meet income eligibility requirements and complete an annual income recertification to remain eligible.
How does the program work?
Because these units are subsidized, they are reserved for households that meet specific income requirements set by HUD.
- Income Qualification: Total household income must be at or below the program limits listed below.
- Ongoing Compliance: To remain eligible, residents must complete an annual income recertification.
What are the income limits?
To qualify for a HOME unit, your total annual household income cannot exceed the following limits (based on household size):
Household Size Maximum Annual Income
- 1 Person $42,780
- 2 People $48,900
- 3 People $55,020
- 4 People $61,080
